When adding a payment, there is a field where you can select a portfolio. We recommend creating portfolios to keep your accounts organized and to reconcile with your partner banks at the end of the month.
How to Create a Portfolio:
Go to Settings > Institution Settings to open the institution's page.
By clicking the "Create Institution" button in the top left corner of the opened page, we create a new institution.
The window that opens may require filling in several fields, but to create an institution, filling in the first two fields is mandatory. Once you have completed the input and clicked "Save," the institution will be created.
The type of institution should be selected based on what needs to be recorded in the accounting records. For example:
- If the account you are adding is for a POS device you use, such as HSBC or Deutsche Bank, you should select the institution type as banks.
- If you want to view an area where cash payments are accumulated, you should select the institution type as cash register.
When adding a payment to the institution you have created in this way, you will be asked to select a portfolio for payments made by cash, credit card, or bank transfer. This allows you to see which bank transactions were processed and their amounts in your accounts.
